1. This $0 Change Order is adding time to specific tasks as follows:
- Add 180 days to Tasks 1 through 4 (Project Management, Preliminary Design, Design, Permitting) to
allow for design revisions and update the Engineer's Opinion of Probable Cost; and
- Add 730 days to Task 5 (Post Design Services), to provide Engineer of Record services through the
project's Final Completion.
2. Task 1-4 are on a Stop Work effective October 28, 2024; 2 days remaining.
Task 5 is on a Stop Work effective July 11, 2024; 108 days remaining.
3. A time extension on Tasks 1-4 is necessary for the consultant to revise proposed plans and update
the Engineer's Opinion of Probable Cost as staff continues to work with the consultant on additional
design revisions. The revisions involve evaluating, researching, and updating the 100% plans to
incorporate further neighborhood improvements identified during the field survey. Task 5, Post Design
Services, only has 108 days left which is not sufficient to provide assistance with the bidding process
and EOR services during construction. A time extension for Task 5 is necessary to provide services
through the project's Final Completion.
4. If this Change Order is not processed, design plans cannot be updated to reflect current field
conditions and concerns from residents would not be addressed. Proper EOR services will not be
provided to certify Final Completion.

Dear Mr. Hayden:
Please consider this letter as a request to provide a change order for the above referenced Collier
County project.The amended contract dated October 30,2023,had a schedule with an assumed
total duration of 366 days to complete tasks 1 thru 4 providing an end of contract for those tasks as
October 30,2024.County staff has requested that additional changes be considered to incorporate
additional design improvements identified after neighborhood survey completion.Additionally,
newly available data on residential driveways,collected through updated permit records,will be
integrated to reflect the latest neighborhood layouts since field surveying.Therefore,we are
requesting that Tasks 1-4 be extended by 180 days to provide the evaluation and conduct
research on the variety of options staff would like to consider.Additionally,due to this
extended design phase,Task 5,which involves post-design services,will be delayed.We are
therefore also requesting an extension for Task 5 by 730 days to ensure comprehensive post-
design support.
