Executive Summary
Recommendation to accept and appropriate restricted donations from various donors in the amount of $7,802.50 for the
benefit of the Collier County Public Library and to authorize the necessary Budget Amendments.
OBJECTIVE: To accept and appropriate restricted donations from various donors in the amount of $7,802.50 to support
various library branches, programs, and projects of Collier County Public Library (CCPL), as stipulated by each
donation's purpose.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Board of County Commissioners (Board) previously accepted and appropriated restricted
donations from various donors for FY2024 Q3 in the amount of $5,000.29 for the benefit of the Collier County Public
Library and authorized the necessary budget amendments. These donations were accepted on September 10, 2024, as
Agenda Item #16.D.8.
Finalizing FY2024 and the first quarter of FY25, the following donors provided monetary support for the benefit of
CCPL.
1. Tom and Mary McKinney: on April 4th, 2024 donated $100.00 to be used for the purchase of Children's
Books.
2. Nancy & Ray Vahl: On May 30, 2024, Nancy & Ray Vahl donated $150 to be used to purchase children's
books for the Collier County Public Library.
3. Gwen & Eckart Kade: On June 28, 2024, Gwen & Eckart Kade donated $300 to be used for the Vanderbilt
Beach Branch Library.
4. Carol H. Drewniak Living Trust: On September 6, 2024, Carol H. Drewniak Living Trust donated $50 to be
used to purchase books in memory of Don Malenick.
5. Dimitriy Shoutov: On October 15, 2024, Dimitriy Shoutov donated $200 to be used to purchase drawing
books for kids and teens for the Naples Regional Library.
6. Mary Wilbanks: On October 25, 2024, Mary Wilbanks donated $112.50 to be used to purchase children's
books on nature for the Golden Gate Branch Library.
7. Laurie & Robert Saxton: On November 19, 2024, Laurie & Robert Saxton donated $500.00 to be used for
the Immokalee Branch Library.
8. Hawaux Foundation Trust: On December 3, 2024, the Hawaux Foundation Trust donated $5,000.00 to be
used for general support of the Collier County Public Library.
9. Arlene and Robert Subin: On December 4, 2024, Arlene and Robert Subin donated $100.00 to be used for
the Vanderbilt Beach Branch Library.
10. Carla Grieve: On December 4, 2024, Carla Grieve donated $1,000.00 to be used for general support of the
Collier County Public Library.
11. Joseph Nelligan: On December 16, 2024, Joseph Nelligan donated $250.00 to be used for the Vanderbilt
Beach Branch Library.
12. Franciscus and Karen Jungslager: on December 27th, 2024 donated $40.00 to the purchase of books in
memory of Bill Roche.
Donations were received as revenue and posted in Fund (1810) Projects aligned with the respective donation's purpose as
indicated above. Revenues received totaled $7,802.50. The below tables indicate revenues posted and to be appropriated
by the attached Budget Amendments.

This item is consistent with the Quality of Place objective of Collier County's Strategic Plan through the preservation and
enhancement of the character of our community. Additionally, this item is consistent with the objective to provide quality
public amenities.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget Amendments are required to appropriate the donations totaling $7,802.50, including $500
funds carried forward from a prior period, within the Library Grants and Projects (1810) Fund in Project WBS elements
indicated above. There is no requirement for a County match.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact resulting from this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal issues and requires
majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATIONS: To accept and recognize donations given in support of Collier County Public Library in the
amount of $7,802.50 and authorize the necessary Budget Amendments.
