Meeting called to order • Karen Beatty called to order 6pm 2. Roll Call • A quorum was established. 3. Invocation & Pledge of Allegiance 4. Adoption to Agenda Motion made and carried to move 9B to 7A due to scheduling issues. Motion made and carried to adopt agenda. 5. Public to be heard ( Non- Agenda Items) ▪ None 6. Consent Agenda Motion made and carried to accept Consent Agenda as published. 7. Community and Staff Presentations ▪ Bob Middleton, Naples Director of Public Works – Pier Rebuild. Discuss the utilization of Bayshore Park launching area a collection/transfer site for barge unloading debris from Naples Pier demolition. ▪ Kevin Land, Shore Line Foundation – Contractor ▪ Todd Terrell, Terrell & Associates – Design ▪ Dan Ornstein, City Engineer ▪ Site to be used only for demolition phase ▪ Project duration of four to six months ▪ Concern expressed for neighborhood residents contending with heavy truck traffic. ▪ No overnight staging of equipment on site other than crane and frontend loader. ▪ Pending Army Corp of Engineers approval. ▪ Proposed hours of operation M-F, 7 or 8AM to 4-5PM. ▪ Resident David DiNicola asked about total tonnage of materials moving through area. ▪ Discussion ensued regarding repairs that may need to be made to the road due to increased traffic. It was brought up that this may tie into the overall Danford Road rehab project coinciding with the City’s waterline replacement project. ▪ Table Top traffic devices for Danford ▪ Robert – Wastewater (1:05) ▪ All repairs to lift stations has been completed. ▪ Increasing emergency backup portable generator fleet to 248 before hurricane season. ▪ Three lift stations have completed hardening process. Motion made and carried to revisit the complete Danford project with original concept including lighting and limited storm water with stipulation that project should begin “immediately”. Motion made and carried to grant the City use of Bay View Park as a Pier debris removal site. 8. Old Business • Snappy Carwash, John Grants – RBI Planning (1:26) • Request for deviation – 348’ of landscape buffer reduction to five feet from 10’ to accommodate a larger turning radius. Motion made and carried to grant deviation. • Michael Whalen – Property on Connecticut (1:48) • Discussed with neighbor the selection of trees available to be used in conjunction with stormwater buffer. • Request for parking relief - two density credits Motion made and carried with the provision that an acceptable solution to SW stormwater landscaping buffer and that a three percent fee be directed to the CRA fund and not into the CCA fund. • 3000 Areca Ave, Johnson Engineering (2:11) – Zoning Growth variance. • Bayshore Warehouse – not actually a warehouse, discussed possible usage. • 3360 – Parking exemption • Leveraging CRA Parking Lot – how will lease agreements be selected? • 276 Airport Road • Mangrove Road – Limited Density Bonus • Columbia Sussex/Naples Hotel – need for current neighborhood meeting, engineering docs resubmitted. • Verizon Tower, Kirkwood Ave (2:27) – Equipment update. • Windstar, Fitness Center site development – received their Comments. • Snappy Car Wash (pg. 10) – Hearing scheduled for 02/13. • 9 South Project (2:28, page 11) • 3010 Tamiami Trail – awaiting mixed use approval. • Boardwalk Ground Breaking (2:31) • Flashing Speed signs installed • 2 motor vehicle accidents within Triangle area. • Footbridge • Solar Light on Commercial Dr. is operational • $1 million identified (2:34) – John identified $1 million from CDBG that someone returned – requested that it be utilized for two lots designated as Passive Parks, possibly Pineland Ave. • Pet Park limited to five year lifespan and then may be revisited as possible stormwater retention area. (2:40) • New Code Enforcement Supervisor introduced • Tree of Life Church waste and debris issues • Staff Cleanups – 03/20/25 & 04/08/25 • Ongoing Zoom issues. • Next meeting 03/06/25 11.
