Executive Summary
Recommendation to approve final acceptance of the sewer utilities facilities and accept the conveyance of the sewer
facilities for Metropolitan Naples, PL20240003786.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners, as Ex-Officio Governing Board of the Collier County
Water-Sewer District, approve final acceptance of these sewer utilities facilities, in accordance with the Collier County
Utility Standards and Procedures, Ordinance No. 2004-31, as amended.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1. The Developer has constructed the sewer utilities facilities for Metropolitan Naples within dedicated easements
to serve this development (see attached location map). The sewer utility facilities were offered for conveyance
to the County, as described in Official Records (O.R.) Book 6419, Page (PG) 1040, located within County
utility easements dedicated by the plat of Metropolitan Naples, recorded in Plat Book 71, Pages 97 through 99
of the Public Records of Collier County, Florida. The value of these sewer utility facilities (assets) was
$11,215.19.
2. Staff recorded all final acceptance documents associated with the sewer utilities facilities conveyed to the
County in the public records of Collier County, which were reviewed and approved by the County Attorney’s
office as to form and legality. The County acquired its interest in the sewer facilities through the Warranty Deed
and bill of sale recorded in Official Records Book 6419, Page 1040 of the Public Records of Collier County,
Florida (“The Utilities Facilities Deed”).
3. Staff conducted a final inspection on August 7, 2024, in coordination with Public Utilities to discover defects in
materials and workmanship. The facilities were found to be satisfactory and acceptable.
4. Staff recommends final acceptance of the subject sewer utilities facilities in the amount of $11,215.19.
5. This final acceptance is in accordance with Collier County, Ordinance No. 2004-31, as amended.
6. Staff is unaware of any issues that would serve to negate the recommendation to approve this final acceptance.
FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Executive Summary will result in the Collier County Water-Sewer District
receiving title to the sewer utility facilities, which have a gross value of $11,215.19 (no depreciation applied), and an
asset will be recorded in the financial records of the County.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires a majority vote for
Board approval. –DDP
