Hybrid Virtual Zoom Regular Meeting

LET IT BE REMEMBERED, the Collier County Bayshore Beautification MSTU in and for the
County of Collier, having conducted business herein, met on this date at 5 PM in REGULAR
SESSION at 3299 Tamiami Trail E., 3rd Floor BCC Chambers Naples, FL 34112
with the following members present:

1. Meeting called to order.
▪ Maurice Gutierrez called to order.
▪ Maurice made a motion to accept board member Frank McCutcheon via Zoom.
▪ Susan Crum seconded the motion

▪ None
5. Adoption to Agenda Action Item
▪ Maurice Gutierrez made a motion to adopt the agenda as written.
▪ Oscar Perez seconded the motion.
▪ Carried unanimously
6. Approval of Minutes
▪ Were not done on time,will be on next month's agenda for approval
7. Landscape Maintenance Report
A) Armando Yzaguirre A&M Landscaping (Attachment 1)
▪ N/A
B) MSTU Project Manager Maintenance Report (Attachment 2)
▪ Holiday tree lighting is scheduled for Thursday December 5,2024 at the CRA
parking lot corner of Bayshore and Coco
▪ A&M landscaping has scheduled time to clean the parking lot area prior to the
event.
▪ Big item this month is the planting at the bridge. Big thank you to A&M
Landscaping, Naples Botanical Garden and Jim Bixler.
▪ For the new year 2025, staff is looking at cleaning up Del’s pocket park,
executing the Bayshore renovation contract and Building the Boardwalk.
▪ 1 palm tree removal
▪ Each new tree has its own bubbler after tweaking of the irrigation
▪ A&M Landscaping contract comes up in October
▪ Next cycle we will have to go out and bid and hope to get A&M Landscaping
with some things being deducted, other things added.
C) 17 acre project update (Attachment 3)
▪ Completed the process with procurement, securing the contractor: Infinite
Construction, LLC
▪ BOCC meeting to approve contract December 10,2024
▪ Total contract price was $3,372,497
▪ Additional soft costs that will go on with this project, such as CDI services
▪ Some miscellaneous costs for permits
▪ Next step, assuming it's approved on the 10th, we will sit with the contractor for a
pre-construction meeting, also with our consultants. In that meeting, they will provide
us with the schedule of when they will start their contract for a 12-month completion
date. That's to final completion. Substantial completion is a month prior to that, so 11
months essentially for the contract.
▪ Collier County Parks and Rec's have agreed to at this time have a ranger on call to
open it daily, open and close boardwalk daily.

▪ Choose Summer break months in the next meeting.
12. Correspondence and Communications
A) Holiday Tree Lighting Event December 5, 2024 at 5PM
▪ Tree lighting to happen at 6PM
▪ Got Special Event Permit
▪ Joann Talano can help get word out next year
▪ Oscar Perez made contact made with Frontier
▪ Approach was to talk about the $30,000 for them to put the money for next year
for the decorations.
▪ Shirley, John and Oscar met with the representative about two weeks ago.
▪ Spoke about the off-site marketing standpoint, getting involved with the
community.
▪ Oscar got a message back from her that the money, the $30,000 has been included
in their budget.
