OBJECTIVE: Approve an Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, City of Marco Island, City of Naples, Greater Naples Fire Rescue District and Immokalee Fire Control District, adding the County as a party to the Agreement for the use of Tablet Command Software under the District’s Service Agreement granting access to a shared incident command platform and promoting a common operational picture. CONSIDERATIONS: It is essential to operate with a unified operating framework to effectively manage incidents. Access to software specifically designed to facilitate the coordination of public safety resources contributes to an increased margin of safety for both citizens and responders. Public safety agencies share responsibilities to explore opportunities to cooperate with other localities, providing services that accommodate the geographic, population density, and developing needs of the community. On August 1, 2024, the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, City of Marco Island, City of Naples, Greater Naples Fire Rescue District and Immokalee Fire Control District entered into an Interlocal Agreement for Use of Tablet Command Software (the “Interlocal”) to facilitate these needs. Tablet Command provides a common platform for the coordination of responses, incident notification, and visibility across disciplines. The partnership between agencies affords fiscal savings and recognizes the value of a strong, sustainable, and reliable incident command management system. The County now wishes to acquire licenses for the use of the Software under North Collier’s service agreement and to be designated as a user of the software. This Amendment adds the County to the Interlocal to be able to use the Software and operate with the other fire districts in a unified manner. FISCAL IMPACT: Annual subscription costs will be split among 6 agencies including BOCC, benefiting the county in cost savings. Funds were budgeted for FY25 Budget within EMS Operating Fund 4050. The yearly amount is set to not exceed $12,000. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact resulting from this action. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires a majority vote for approval. -SAA RECOMMENDATIONS: To approve an Amendment to an Interlocal Agreement for Use of Tablet Command Software between North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, City of Marco Island, City of Naples, Greater Naples Fire Rescue District and Immokalee Fire Control District, adding the County as a party to the Agreement.
