A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING WILLIAM CONLEY
AND REAPPOINTING CHRIS BRYNE TO THE COLLIER COUNTY
CITIZEN CORPS.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2002-56, as amended, established the Collier
County Citizen Corps as an Advisory Committee to advise the Board of County Commissioners
(Board) on a wide range of hazards preparedness and other related issues; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2002-56, as amended, provides that this Advisory
Committee shall consist of nine voting members representing the Community Emergency
Response Team, United Way, Collier County Fire Chiefs Association, Collier Ready —
Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), Coast Guard Auxiliary, American Red
Cross, Salvation Army, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and Collier County
Business/Industry; and
WHEREAS, there are two vacant seats on this committee; and
WHEREAS, the Salvation Army and the Collier County Fire Chief's Association have
each provided the Board with a recommendation for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that WILLIAM CONLEY
(representing the Salvation Army) is hereby appointed to the Collier County Citizen Corps, to fill
the remainder of a vacant term expiring on November 5, 2027, and that CHRISTOPHER
BYRNE is hereby reappointed to his seat (representing the Collier County Fire Chief s
Association), to a 4-year term expiring November 5, 2028.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED by majority vote on the 11tt' day of November, 2024.
