OBJECTIVE: To provide power needed at the six outdoor volleyball courts located in Phase 1 of the Paradise Coast Sports Complex. CONSIDERATIONS: In order for Florida Power & Light Co. (hereafter “FP&L”) to provide the necessary power to the six outdoor volleyball courts in Phase 1 at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex, it will be necessary to execute and record the attached standard form Easement (Business) to FP&L. The easement covers approximately 0.08 acres, as shown and described in Exhibit “A” of the easement. A site plan depicting the easement is included for reference as supporting documentation. The Facilities Division, Paradise Coast Sports Complex management, and the County Attorney's Office have reviewed and approved the Easement. FISCAL IMPACT: Recording costs shall not exceed twenty ($20.00) dollars. Funding is available in Amateur Sports Complex Fund (1109), Cost Center 101555. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Collier County Growth Management Plan. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. – DDP RECOMMENDATIONS: That the Board of County Commissioners: 1) approve the conveyance of an Easement (Business) to Florida Power & Light Co. for the installation of cable and conduit to supply power to the outdoor volleyball courts at Paradise Coast Sports Complex, located at 3940 City Gate Boulevard North and 2) authorize the Chairman to execute the easement, and directs the County Manager or her designee to proceed to follow all appropriate closing procedures and to record the easement in the Public Records of Collier County, Florida.
