The size of the culvert from proposed Lake CR-1 B to Lake CR-2A was required to be increased from 42 inch to 48 inches to accept the anticipated flow into the Carson Road STA from the future drainage improvements from the Lake Trafford Road Right-of-Way. This change will add 9,798.30 to the cost of the pipe. Funds will come from the Owner's Allowance. 2.) If this Change Order is currently under a Stop Work, please identify the date issued and number of days remaining or "N/A" if not applicable. N/A The project is currently on-going. 3.) Explain why this change was not included in the original contract/Work Order. Up-sizing the pipe was not considered in the original contract because the design and permitting process for the upstream Lake Trafford Road Right-of-Way (ROW)was still ongoing and comments from the South Florida Water Management District(SFWMD)were received only after the project was bid. The Carson Road Stormwater Treatment Area (STA) is intended to accept flow from the existing stormwater system within the Immokalee Drive ROW and from a series of areas in which Collier County plans to install future stormwater improvements. At the time the Carson Road STA was advertised for construction bids, the design and permitting process for the upstream Lake Trafford Road ROW was still in progress, but subsequent comments received from SFWMD during the design and permitting of the drainage improvements within the Lake Trafford Road ROW, required the size of the culvert from Lake CR-1 B to Lake CR-2A be increased from 42 inches to 48 inches diameter to accept the anticipated flow into the Carson Road STA from the future drainage improvements of the Lake Trafford Road Right-of-Way. 4.) Describe the impact if this change is not processed. If this modification is not processed, Quality Enterprises USA , Inc. will not be able to proceed with the construction in accordance with the updated construction documents and the project will not be in compliance with the permit issued by SFWMD.
