Resolution 2024-165 RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 16 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MICHAEL PETSCHER TO THE COLLIER COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION. WHEREAS, on May 26, 2009, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 2009-29, which relocated and readopted the Planning Commission Ordinance in its entirety as a stand- alone ordinance in the Collier County Code of Laws and Ordinances; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2009-29, as amended, provides that the Planning Commission shall be composed of five (5) members representing the five County Commission Districts; two (2) at-large environmental members possessing the technical expertise as outlined in the Ordinance; and one (1) non- voting member appointed by the School District; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2009-29, as amended, also provides that a candidate representing a Commission District must be nominated by the Commissioner of the District in which the candidate resides, and an"At-Large"member may be nominated by any Commissioner; and WHEREAS, there are three District seats on the Planning Commission which will expire on October 1, 2024; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties; and WHEREAS, Commissioner William McDaniel, District 5, has nominated Michael Petscher for appointment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board of County Commissioners appoints MICHAEL PETSCHER to the Collier County Planning Commission, representing District 5, to serve a four-year term commencing on October 1, 2024 and expiring on October 1, 2028.
