Experience / Backeround
I have been rescuing cats & kittens for over 50 years. I started in Cincinnati, OH and have lived in Naples
for almost 35 years. I volunteered with HSN for many years, serving as President in 2001 & 2002. 1 also
(volunteer with Purradise Gardens, the no -kill shelter & sanctuary for cats. I have helped Phyllis with VSA
land Jim & Jan with For the Love of Cats. My focus is on the animal. I don't participate in gossip or high
school drama! My people skills are very good and I have many good connections in town. I hope to bring
balance, knowledge and expertise to the Advisory Boar. I would like to concentrate on community
involvement and community awareness. I am very good at event planning. I would like to see Roberts
of Order in place for the meetings and I would like for everyone there to truly understand the jobription
of the Advisory Board. I know I can be a valuable Board member and I look forward tong.

To Whom It May Concern,
have known Susie Mehas for over 35 years. She has been a good friend
and client. Susie is very passionate about animals, in particular cats. Susie
goes above and beyond in providing nothing but the best for her personal
cats acquired through her rescue efforts, and also for the homeless cats in
our community who struggle to survive in nature.
I highly recommend Susie for a position on the DAS Advisory Board. If you
have any questions, feel free to give me a call at 239-262-3633.
Sincerely,
Kim R Schemmer, DVM
