"Nalco is currently planning not to provide a temporary filter for the Campus Closed Loop,as this is currently In review by the
Engineer.Nalco will be providing a Sidestream Cartridge Filter for the Campus Loop that will be a permanent fixture in the
plant.The Engineer is deciding whether or not the permanent filter can be used during startup instead of adding in a
temporary unit in order to VE out the temporary filter from the project."I want to say that I brought this point up directly with the
Engineer and his team when I was editing the Water Treatment Specification for them.My point was that we are adding in a
SS sidestream filter to continuously filter the Campus CHW Loop AND a separate one for the TES CHW Loop,so why bring in
another,temporary filter just for the construction phase only to have it be removed and not used. I said that we can throw
away and replace the filter cartridges after construction is done so that the Owner is left with new ones once the plant is
started up,but that it was a waste of money to buy a whole other temporary filter to use only during that time period."
Please provide clear direction on the above.
"Provide Nalco with the following items for the AccuPro Biocide Program:•Power requirements:2-100-
120VAC,50/60Hz,15amps or 2-220 to 240VAC,50/60Hz,15amp clean power We will need power over at the Accupro"corner"
of the room.I spoke with my Equipment guy just now and we will need the 2-120VAC circuits over in that corner by our
equipment"
Please confirm electrical power requirements specified are shown and included in the contract documents.If they
are not please issue a revision to the contract documents adding the required Infrastructure.
"A sanitary system drain is required to be located with 10'from the AccuPro system"The nearest FD-1 is 13.5'away as
shown below and piping to this drain may create a tripping hazard."
Please Issue a revision to the plumbing drawings showing an appropriate floor drain or confirm It Is acceptable to
route to the one shown in the attachment,
