EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation for the Board of County Commissioners to authorize a Budget Amendment of $120,000 to
allocate funding to the Preserve Amenities Project (80454) within the Conservation Collier Project Fund
(1063) to facilitate the repair and maintenance of amenities at the preserves.
OBJECTIVE: To reallocate funds within the Conservation Collier Project Fund (1063) to cover repair and
maintenance expenditures associated with maintaining capital amenities.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Conservation Collier Program manages and maintains twenty-two preserves totaling
4,970 acres. Many of these preserves contain amenities to promote public access and facilitate recreational use and
enjoyment of the preserves. These amenities include paths, boardwalks parking lots, and fences. Preserve
Amenities R&M Project (80454) has been created to facilitate and track the repair and maintenance of these
amenities.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment within the Conservation Collier Project Fund (1063) is required to
reallocate $120,000 to the Preserve Amenities R&M Project (80454). Due to anticipated project timelines, $50,000
from the Gore Preserve Project (80441) for parking, and $70,000 from the Pepper Ranch Project (80231) for the
pole barn are available for reallocation. Funding for these projects is included in the FY 2025 recommended budget.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality, and requires a majority vote for
approval. - SAA
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: No growth management impact is associated with this Executive
Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize a Budget Amendment in the amount of $120,000 to allocate funding into
the Preserve Amenities R&M Project (80454) within the Conservation Collier Project Fund (1063) to facilitate the
repair and maintenance of amenities at the preserves.
