I've not yet seen this zoning request… and would not have seen it this soon since it's in his District…
but I will keep me ears open for it and thank you for brining this to my attention.
Zoning requests are made frequently… citizen input back to the developer is critical to their decision
process if the developer elects to continue with the zoning request.

I am emailing you regarding the proposed church on 8th St Ne and 22nd Ave Ne. I don’t believe that
the county should be allowing variances from residential to commercial/business in this area. I’m not
against churches by all means, however this would set a bad precedent for future development and
need to expand. Also, traffic would be a great concern as it’s already crazy on Randal and 8th.

I hope this email finds you well and you remember who I am (hehe)!
I am writing to share my concerns with the potential development of the Iglesia Pentecostes Peniel
Church off of 8th street and 22nd AVE NE in Golden Gate Estates. I live on 22nd AVE NE with. We
have many young families with young children who live on both sides of 22nd AVE NE.
Unfortunately, 8th street is already very unsafe. I have two young children (13 and 7) and I do not
let them ride their bikes anywhere near 8th street because of the congestion on that street
already. We are also on a dead end street which adds to the unsafety of unwarranted cars driving
up and down our street constantly. I can only imagine how much worse it will be with adding a
commercial building. I am not against building churches whatsoever - I just do not believe this

residential area is the best location. I understand our area is growing tremendously but adding
commercial buildings in a residential area takes the roots and integrity out of our
quiet neighborhood. For the safety of our children and our community, I am asking that you
strongly consider their safety when voting for or against this project.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to attend any meetings in-person as our Emergency Department
volume has been unprecedented and I have been highly dedicated to caring for our patients.

After speaking with code enforcement, an investigator, zoning, Wink news, and my neighbors we can say with absolute
conviction that we DO NOT WANT a commercial exemption for any church in our agriculture/residential area. A dozen
letters of recommendation for people who live in Bonita Springs and Immokalee versus 250 letters from home owners
should be a no brainer.
I live on 22n Ave and I don't want any commercial buildings in our area. What's next, a 7‐11?
Zoning is for a reason, we live here for a reason, it's bad enough you put a bridge on 8th street allowing drive thru traffic.
Now you want a church?
Question; who purchases 5 acres with the possibility of 5k sq ft and 100 parishioners? This stinks to high heaven of tax
fraud and money laundering. The mere consideration suggests the board is tainted. Do not allow this building, or any
other commercial endeavor in our agriculture/residential area. No considerations, no exemptions, NONE.
NO MEANS NO, at the Sept meeting and the Oct meeting. This foolishness has gone on long enough.

Regardless -- concerning the Pentecostes Peniel Church there's an Amendment and a Conditional
Use application pending the public hearing schedule. I've attached the summary of the
Neighborhood Information Meeting (NIM). We are aware there is some citizen opposition to the
location.
Here are important dates:
• September 16, 2021 at 9:00 AM – Collier County Planning Commission (CCPC)

• October 26, 2021 at 9:00 AM – Collier County Board of County Commissioners (BCC)
Both meetings take place at the Collier County Government Center (3299 Tamiami Trail East, 3rd
Floor).
I suggest you make contact with Commissioner McDaniel if you haven't already… since this project
resides in his District and he'd be leading any vote on it.

Never heard back from last month's query about status on the 'proposed' church on the corner of 8th
Ave and 22nd Ave behind Publix. It's been 2 months since I asked the 1st time and have heard nothing
from your offices. I did see a lady on the news saying 'no' which is how we all feel, except those that
are ambivalent. There are 2 churches 1 mile from this residential area. WE DO NOT WANT IT A
CONSIDERATION, WE WANT IT GONE.
