WHEREAS, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute has been a pillar of support
and healing within our community for 40 years, marking a significant milestone
in their dedication to serving those affected by cancer; and
WHEREAS, the expertise, professionalism, and commitment of Florida Cancer Specialists
& Research Institute has earned the respect and gratitude of countless
individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer; and
WHEREAS, their commitment to excellence has led to become a world-class provider of
oncology care; and
WHEREAS, their mission, to be centered on the patient, to inspire hope and to be
powered by science and innovation has been a driving force to not only care
for, but enhance the quality of care they are providing to those affected by
cancer; and
WHEREAS, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute values our Collier County
community through its investments, the establishment of its critical,
centralized services here in Naples, and its overall commitment to see our
area thrive; and
WHEREAS, their contributions extend beyond medical treatment, fostering hope,
awareness, and resilience in the face of adversity; and
WHEREAS, February 21, 2024, launched a year-long celebration, designated as "40
Years at the Forefront," to mark a rich history of providing world-class
cancer care across Florida and driving the dramatic transformation of
oncology care worldwide through its extensive clinical research program;
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that June 11, 2024, be designated as
FLORIDA CANCER SPECIALISTS & RESEARCH INSTITUTE
APPRECIATION DAY IN COLLIER COUNTY
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 11th Day of June 2024.
