1. Meeting Called to order at 3:00 PM by Robert Craig, Chairman
Attendees:

4, Changes to the Agenda :
➢ A nrotiort to approve the Agenda mas made by Robert Craig. Dr. Don Br•adke motioned to approve
the Agenda and was seconded by Teri O'Connell. The Agenda was then unanimously approved
by the Convnittee.
5. Approval of Minutes of Regular Meeting Minutes December 11, 2023:
➢ A motion b approve the nrimdes was made by Rober! Craig. Teri O'Connell motioned to approve
the meeting mintrles and seas seconded by Dr. Dott Bradke. The minutes were tltert unattimorrsly
approved by the Committee.
6. Reports:
• Chief Nolan Sapp reviewed the Fire Chief Report.
7. Old Business: None
8. New Business:
• Chief Caleb Morris retired in January.
• Joshua Bauer, from Immokalee Fire Control District, has been hired as Deputy Chief, GNFD. His
focus will be Fleet, logistics and grant writing.
• New Public Information Office Tiffany Wood hired. Her focus will be Public Information and
Public Education inquiries.
• Looing to replace engines at Everglades City and Port of the Islands, that are in bad shape.
Reviewed this issue with Deputy County Manager, Ed Finn. Current timelines are 3-years for
Engines and 4-years for Ladder Trucks.
• Working on COPCN Ordinance to change some parameters with the way the County does
Advanced Life Support services.
• Fire Boat is still in Everglades City and may be relocated to Port of the Islands during the building-
teardown.
• The State has appropriated $13 Million in funding for City of Everglades Fire/EMS Station and
Emergency Operations Center.
• Station 74 Golden Gate Blvd. W, project will begin soon and will be funded by the State.
