RESOLUTION NO. 2024 - 3 4
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING AUSTIN HOWELL AND
ORIANY BRITO TO THE LAND ACQUISITION ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2002-63, as amended, established the Land
Acquisition Advisory Committee (`Committee') to assist the Board of County Commissioners
(`Board') in establishing an "Active Properties Acquisition List" with qualified purchase
recommendations consistent with the goals of Conservation Collier; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2002-63, as amended, provides that this Committee shall
consist of nine members representing the broad and balanced interests of Collier County Citizens
as set forth in the Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, there are two vacant seats on this Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has provided the Board with its recommendations for
appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that AUSTIN HOWELL,
representing real estate/land appraisal/conservation/environmental interests, is hereby appointed
to the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee to a three-year term expiring on February 11, 2027,
and further, that ORIANY BRITO, representing real estate/general civic and citizen interests, is
hereby appointed to the committee to fill the remainder of a vacant term expiring on February
11, 2026.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote on the 27th day of February, 2024.
