WHEREAS, Collier County Museums is hosting its annual lmmokalee Cattle Drive& Jamboree on March 9, 2024, and seeks to temporarily close and reroute traffic on a portion of State Road 29 (the County's Event Map and Maintenance of Traffic for Road Closure and Detour Route Plan arc incorporated herein by reference and attached hereto as Exhibit"A"); and WHEREAS, prior to the temporary closure of a state road for a special event, pursuant to the Florida Administrative Code Rule 14-65.0035, the County must determine that a temporary closing of the road is necessary for the event and obtain written approval from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT); and WHEREAS, the County is required to send a copy of a duly executed resolution authorizing the special event to FDOT to obtain prior written approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY FLORIDA,that: 1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Collier County Museums' annual Cattle Drive& Jamboree on March 9, 2024. 2. The Board of County Commissioners determines that the temporary closing of a portion of State Road 29 is necessary for the Collier County Museums to host [23-M U S-00049/1 824 00 5/1 15 12-11-23 16D 5 its annual Cattle Drive R. Jamboree on March 9, 2024. 3.
