The City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department looks forward to a continued partnership with our County partners to provide excellence in All-Hazards responses for public safety. The only changes to this year’s application is to our response fleet. We currently have three (3) replacement vehicles on order or awaiting final preparations prior to being placed in service. Each of these vehicles will be placed in service as Advanced Life Support capable. Therefore, we will provide VIN numbers and State ALS sticker numbers when these individual units are ready for service. All the Best, Phillip Pennington, Fire Chief 16.F.6.a Packet Pg. 1541 Attachment: 2023 NFD COPCN Renewal WORD (27057 : City of Naples COPCN) 2 of 18 The following information is for consideration for the renewal of the current Class 3: Advanced Life Support Non-Transport Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) for the City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department. The goals and objective of this request is to document that the City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department meets the requirements specified in the Collier County, Florida Code of Ordinances, Chapter 50 – Emergency Services. The quintessential objective of pre-hospital care is to quickly respond to an emergency, provide enough resources to effectively stabilize a patient and continue that care while enroute to a medical facility. The City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department currently benefits the community by augmenting the EMS system with both ALS and BLS resources to enhance public safety to those citizens that are ill or injured. An Engine, Squad, or Ladder often has a quicker turn around and could be the first unit on scene to begin the patient assessment and provide early interventions. These same units can be utilized by the EMS transport units to provide additional personnel to assist with care of unstable patients while enroute to the hospital. Renewal of the current COPCN will allow the City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department to continue to provide the highest level of All-Hazards support to our jurisdictional partners and Collier County EMS. During the last year, through partnership and team collaboration, we all have demonstrated the ability to reduce the impact to the community when eme rgencies occur. In conclusion, we appreciate the time and consideration for this application. The City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department looks forward to continuing providing this level of service to the community at large.
