Hello, I attended the Williams Farm rezoning meeting led by Daniel Delisi on August 30th via Zoom. While I do believe growth is needed I do believe synchronous traffic planning is necessary. We were told a Traffic Impact Study(TIS)was completed but this study does not include school zone traffic as a factor. The proposed rezoning will absolutely impact commuters on Lake Trafford Rd and more so during school hours. On the agenda an "additional access road"was listed for Miraham Terrace. I did ask what was the purpose of this access road, because in order to reach Miraham Terrace you would have to pass the entrance of this proposed development. They clarified this was requested by the county and will only be used for emergency vehicles. A new RCMA Charter school is set to be built practically next door to Lake Trafford Elementary school. The stretch of Lake Trafford Rd between this new RCMA Charter School heading west to this proposed development does not have road shoulders. If in the event emergency vehicles need to head west during the heavy traffic during school drop-off and pick-up hours vehicles do not have a road shoulder to move over on. It is a pretty steep drop next to swales. A large amount of Immokalee residents have to commute outside of town for work. The proposed development will now add more work commuting traffic going through two school zones before they reach a traffic light at Lake Trafford Rd and Carson Rd. Again in the short stretch between that traffic light and Little League Rd it will hold 2 schools, Arrowhead,3 Habitat for Humanity properties and now a new proposed development. The traffic must frequently stop for school guard crossing and parent drop-off and pick-up is currently being directed by Collier County Sheriff Deputies. Maybe a second entrance off of Carson Rd south of Crestview Aprtments and the Arrowhead community would allow better traffic flow. I hope the county commissioners see for themselves and drive in the area during these hours. The TIS is resicted to the limited data required. This email is mostly to focus on the impact the proposed development would have on traffic. Similar emails will be sent to Collier MPO and Collier County Transportation Planning. Besides this, the Immokalee residents need an additional outlet.Years ago there was mention of extending I believe it was Little League Rd to SR 82. I as told recently this is off the table and the residents are left with only 2 outlets. Thank you, Shannon Martinez TiberiaCristina Subject: Meeting w/Commissioner McDaniel re:The Haven Location: 3299 Tamiami Trail East#303 Start: Mon 5/22/2023 4:00 PM End: Mon 5/22/2023 4:30 PM Recurrence: (none) Meeting Status: Accepted Organizer: Richard Yovanovich EXTERNAL EMAIL:This email is from an external source.
