Re: Appointment to Educational Facilities Authority
The term of Michael McDonald, a member of the Collier County Educational Facilities
Authority (" EFA") has expired, and Mr. McDonald has applied for re -appointment. After
advertising the vacancy per county policy, four applications (including Mr. McDonald's) were
received. While all applicants are well -qualified, Mr. McDonald has served the Authority well
over the past three years, has a perfect attendance record at meetings of the Authority, and upon
review, the Authority recommends that Michael McDonald be re -appointed. Mr. McDonald is a
business owner in Collier County, and, as the father of three students in the county school
system, has an interest in educational matters. As a small business owner, Mr. McDonald brings
a valuable and unique perspective to the deliberations of the Authority, and we highly
recommend his re -appointment.
