EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize the necessary budget amendments to reallocate funds within the
Transportation Management Services Department Stormwater Bond Fund 327 in the total amount of
$4,000,000 and authorize the necessary budget amendments.
OBJECTIVE: To meet critical project needs and compliance objectives within the Collier County Stormwater
Management System and authorize the necessary budget amendments.
CONSIDERATIONS: These funds will be used by Collier County Stormwater Management Division for
Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI), construction, and design services for the below stormwater capital
improvement projects:
North 3' Street Drainage Improvement Project 60143Z This project consists of expanding stormwater
conveyance that exists on the west side of N 3rd Street from E Main St to 3rd Ave in Immokalee. The expansion
includes the addition of concrete, grass swales, drainage catch basins, and a series of conveyance pipes that will
collect runoff from N 3rd Street and the neighboring area. The design is complete. A budget amendment is
needed to issue a purchase order using the Underground Contractor Services under contract 20-7800, and to issue
a work order for CEI services under contract 18-7432.
Eden Garden Offsite Bypass Drainage Improvements (60143): This project consists of installing a new ditch along
the northern boundary of the Eden Garden community to convey stormwater from the south end of Marion Lane
and the surrounding area to Boxwood Drive and convey the water through a new stormwater pipe to connect to an
existing ditch. The design is complete. A budget amendment is needed to issue a purchase order using the
Underground Contractor Services under contract 20-7800, and to issue a work order for CEI services under contract
18-7432.
Chateau at Vanderbilt Double Box Culvert and Seawall Repair/Replace (50240): This project consists of replacing
the end section of an existing double box culvert and the attached seawall, as well as repairing cracks and exposed
rebar within the culvert. The design is complete. A budget amendment is needed to issue a purchase order using
the Underground Contractor Services under contract 20-7800.
Imperial Basin Stormwater Improvements (60262): This project consists of replacing six existing stormwater
control structures within the Imperial Golf Estates community. A budget amendment is needed to issue a work
order for design services under contract 18-7432.
Sanitation Road Stormwater Improvements (60143): This project consists of replacing the existing stormwater
pipe on Sanitation Road that allows the conveyance of stormwater flow to Lake Trafford. The design is complete.
A budget amendment is needed to issue a construction work order using the Underground Contractor Services
under contract 20-7800.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment in the amount of $4,000,000 is required to transfer funds from
Stormwater Bond Fund (327) Reserves to the following listed projects:

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This action is consistent with the Stormwater Management Sub -
Element of the Collier County Growth Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal issues, and
requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize the necessary budget amendments to reallocate funds within the
Transportation Management Services Department Stormwater Fund 327 in the total amount of $4,000,000 and
authorize the necessary budget amendments.
