EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize the necessary budget amendment to reallocate funds from Stormwater Bond
Fund 327 reserves to Golden Gate and Gordon River Stormwater Improvement projects in the total
amount of $4,000,000.
OBJECTIVE: To meet critical project needs and stormwater management objectives within the Collier County
Stormwater Management System and authorize the necessary budget amendment.
CONSIDERATIONS: These funds will be used by Collier County Stormwater Management Division for
Construction services for the below stormwater capital improvement projects:
Golden Gate Area Stormwater Improvements:
A multi -year initiative consisting of replacing aged stormwater infrastructure within the Golden Gate City limits.
Over 147 outfalls and associated conveyance systems are nearing their end -of -life asset cycle and are being
rehabilitated or replaced.
Toucan Alley Stormwater Improvements - this flood control project re-establishes stormwater conveyance
from Golden Gate Parkway and Toucan Alley for eventual discharge into the Golden Gate canal system.
The design is complete, and a budget amendment is needed to issue a purchase order using the
Underground Contractor Services under contract 20-7800.
Golden Gate Parkway Stormwater Improvements - this project will re-establish stormwater conveyance
from Golden Gate Parkway and 55t' St SW for eventual discharge into the Golden Gate canal system. The
design is complete, and a budget amendment is needed to issue a purchase order using the Underground
Contractor Services under contract 20-7800.
25t' Ave Stormwater Improvements - this project will replace the pipe and outfalls between 25t' Place SW
and 25t' Ave SW within Golden Gate City. The design is complete, and a budget amendment is needed to
issue a purchase order using the Underground Contractor Services under contract 20-7800.
Upper Gordon River Stormwater Improvements:
These projects are identified within the Gordon River Improvements Master Plan.
Upper Gordon River Pump Station North - This pump station provides controlled discharge into the
Gordon River drainage system, allowing for retention and flood control when necessary. The design is
complete, and a budget amendment is needed to issue a purchase order using the Underground Contractor
Services under contract 20-7800.
Upper Gordon River Pump Station South - This pump station, discharging into the Solana Road
stormwater ditch system, provides for water quality improvements via retention and flood protection when
necessary. The design is complete, and a budget amendment is needed to issue a purchase order using the
Underground Contractor Services under contract 20-7800.
Burning Tree Drive Stormwater Conveyance Improvements - This project upsizes existing aging
infrastructure and provides improved flood protection. The design is complete, and a budget amendment
is needed to issue a purchase order using the Underground Contractor Services under contract 20-7800.

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This action is consistent with the Stormwater Management Sub -
Element of the Collier County Growth Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal issues, and
requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
