PRIORITY LIST
All project applications are ranked by the Secretary of
the VA based upon:
- Specific criteria in 38 CFR Part 59
- Application Date
- Certified state matching funds (35%)
This ranking culminates in the annual Priority List.
The Secretary will produce this list prioritizing
applications received ,)n or bejort April 15.
Via the stewardship of Senate President Passidomo,
FDVA anticipates receiving $500,000 from the
Legislature for preliminary design/engineering work,
and plans to submit materials for VA review and
approval latex this year.
The application will also certify that the State already
has its matching funds "in -hand and unencumbered. "
There are eight Priority List Groups...
• Priority Group 1 - applies to states that have
demonstrated that matching funds are available for the
project. ln r'Y22, there were 31 p rojects in Prio rity
Group 1, totaling $667 million.
• Priority Groups 2-8 - apply to all other grant
applications. In FY22, Florida's pending requestfor a
new facility in "West FL" remained in Priority Group 4.
