W. Florida Agricultural Crimes Intelligence Unit, Inc. Honorable Sheriff Rambosk, My name is John Monk and I am the President of the Florida Agriculture Crimes Intelligence Unit FACIU) FACIU is a 501c3 statewide organization whose mission is to share Intel and, provide unique training specific to the needs of the agriculture communities throughout Florida. Our 300+ members are statewide law enforcement officers, deputies, investigators, and detectives, including members from the USDA, Florida Department of Agriculture and FWC. We hold monthly intel meetings throughout the state, usually at a local ranch, where we provide training and feature guest speakers. Every May, we hold our annual seminar where we conduct all types of agricultural related training (including hands on training), review up-to-date legislative changes and equipment upgrades. This year, I have been tasked with raising $20,000 for our seminar and other expenses we incur throughout the year. In the past, we have asked statewide Sheriffs Office's to assist with these costs. As president of FACIU, I humbly ask you to consider supporting the efforts of FACIU. Any donation you may provide will be greatly appreciated. Donors will be recognized during our annual seminar May 14- 181h 2023. In prior years we raised $5,700.00 through sheriff's office donors. If you have any questions or would like more information, I can be reached by phone 407-474-5140 or email @ jmonk@seminolesheriff.org Donations can be may payable to FACIU and mailed to: FACIU Attm Brenda White Post Office Box 579 Labelle, Florida 33975 On behalf of the FACIU Board and our members, thank you for your time and consideration.
