A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING JOAN HOCHSCHILD
AND CONSTANCE BETTINGER TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY
BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 88-71, confirmed the establishment of the
Library Advisory Board, which advises the Board of County Commissioners on the operations
and proposed budget for the Collier County Library System; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 88-71, as amended, provides that the Advisory Board shall
consist of five members; and
WHEREAS, two seats on this Advisory Board will expire on December 31, 2022,
representing Commission Districts 1 and 3; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Library Advisory Board has provided the Board of County
Commissioners with its recommendations for reappointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that JOAN HOCHSCHILD, resident
of Commission District 1, and CONSTANCE BETTINGER, resident of Commission District 3,
are each hereby reappointed to the Library Advisory Board to serve four-year terms expiring on
December 31, 2026, and that term limit restrictions are hereby waived as to CONSTANCE
BETTINGER for the term of this appointment.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote on this 13th day of December, 2022.
