Agenda 09/13/2022 Item #16C 2 (Utility Easement Conveyance Golden Gate City Golf Course Property)09/13/2022 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve the conveyance of a Utility Easement located on the Collier County Golden Gate City Golf Course property to the Collier County Water Sewer District for the installation of transmission water mains. The estimated cost should not exceed $50. (Collier County Water Sewer District Bond Fund - 419) OBJECTIVE: To approve and authorize the Chair to sign the attached Utility Easement. CONSIDERATIONS: Currently there is approximately 61% of Golden Gate City served by the CCWSD (Collier County Water Sewer District) regional water system, and approximately 39% serviced by private wells. The first step to install new water mains within the Golden Gate City neighborhoods is to design and construct transmission water mains around the city perimeter. These transmission water mains will connect to the regional water mains on Collier Boulevard and Santa Barbara Boulevard/Radio Road. On September 8, 2020 (Agenda Item 11.F.), the Board approved Agreement No. 19-7637, “Golden Gate City Transmission Water Main Improvements Design” to complete the design of these proposed transmission water mains. This Utility Easement is required for the installation of the transmission system through the Golden Gate City Golf Course property. As such, it may be administratively accepted by the Collier County Water Sewer District as a Board approved Capital Improvement Project pursuant to Resolution No. 2010-39. FISCAL IMPACT: The source of funding is CCWSD Bond Fund (419). The total cost of the acquisition should not exceed $50 for recording. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. -RTT RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve the Utility Easement, authorize the Chair to execute on behalf of the Board, and authorize staff to record the Utility Easement in the Public Records of Collier County, Florida.
