A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA MEMORIALIZING ITS APPROVAL
AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ENGINEER OF TRAFFIC OPERATIONS TO
APPROVE AMENDMENTS CONSISTING OF MINISTERIAL ANNUAL
UPDATES TO THE TO THE STATE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SIGNAL,
MAINTENANCE, AND COMPENSATION AGREEMENT (CONTRACT NO.
ARX56, FINANCIAL PROJECT NO. 41266618801) WITH THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
WHEREAS, at its June 9, 2015 meeting (Agenda Item 16.A.21), the Board of County
Commissioners(the "Board")entered into State Highway Traffic Signal,Maintenance,and Compensation
Agreement No. ARX56 (the "Agreement") with the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT"),
whereby FDOT compensates Collier County to provide maintenance to various FDOT traffic signals
located at intersections throughout the County;and
WHEREAS, from time to time the County has a need to promptly execute amendments to the
Agreement, primarily consisting of the ministerial act of approving annual updates to the Exhibit List of
the Agreement,which identifies the intersection locations of the various FDOT traffic signals maintained
by the County, so that references to applicable traffic signals can be added or subtracted under the
Agreement;and
WHEREAS, the County's Chief Engineer of Traffic Operations can readily perform this
ministerial act on behalf of the County without the need for continuing review and approval by the Board;
and
WHEREAS, FDOT is requesting that the Board provide a resolution memorializing and
confirming the Board's affirmative vote authorizing the Chief Engineer of Traffic Operations to execute
such amendments on behalf of the County;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY,FLORIDA,that:
1. The above recitals are incorporated herein and form a factual basis for the passage of
this Resolution.
2. The Collier County Board of County Commissioners authorizes the Chief Engineer
of Traffic Operations to execute and enter into any subsequent amendments and other
such ministerial documents specifically related to said Agreement in the form
attached hereto as Exhibit"A".
3. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to FDOT.

THIS AMENDMENT TO THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT ("Amendment")is made

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION("Department"),an agency of the State of Florida,and COLLIER COUNTY
("Maintaining Agency").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the Department and the Maintaining Agency on June 23. 2015 entered into a Traffic Signal
Maintenance and Compensation Agreement('Agreement").
WHEREAS,the Parties have agreed to modify the Agreement on the terms and conditions set forth herein.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants in this Amendment, the Agreement is
amended as follows:
1. Exhibit A is amended,superseded and replaced in its entirety with the new Exhibit A that is attached
to this Amendment.
2. Paragraph 12, Page 3,Attachment 1 of the Amendment to the Agreement dated October 19,2016 is
hereby amended to reflect that the designee of the maintaining agency as its authorized
representative is(position) Chief Engineer of Traffic Operations.
