EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue for Marco Island
Executive Airport, in the amount of $1,475,000, and for Immokalee Regional Airport, in the
amount of $170,000, to accommodate increased fuel purchases and associated operating expenses
over budgeted levels.
OBJECTIVE: To authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue for Marco Island Executive
Airport, in the amount of $1,475,000, and for the Immokalee Regional Airport, in the amount of
$170,000, to accommodate increased fuel purchases and associated operating expenses over budgeted
levels.
CONSIDERATIONS: Increased fuel sales at the Marco Island Executive and Immokalee Regional
airports and escalating fuel prices have resulted in a remaining fuel budget that is insufficient to continue
purchasing aviation fuels and cover associated operating expenses. Budget amendments are required to
recognize forecasted revenue and appropriate funding to accommodate additional fuel purchases and
associated operating expenses for the remainder of FY2022.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are required to recognize and appropriate revenue within
Collier County Airport Operating Fund (495), in the amount of $1,475,000, within the Marco Island
Executive Airport Cost Center (192370) and in the amount of $170,000, within the Immokalee Regional
Airport Cost Center (192330). Purchase orders for aviation fuels and associated operating expenses will
be increased accordingly to allow for the continued purchase of critical products and services.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact related to this item.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue for fund center
192370, Marco Island Executive Airport in the amount of $1,475,000, and for fund center 192330,
Immokalee Regional Airport in the amount of $170,000, within Collier County Airport Fund (495) and
appropriate the funding to accommodate increased fuel purchases and associated operating expenses
over budgeted levels.
