Discussion for Proposed Procedure
for Selling Remaining GAC Land Trust Properties
May 5, 2022
• Per Board direction, return deposits and reject previous offers.
• Per Board direction, prepare a more formalized notice of available properties
(guidelines pursuant to Section 125.25, FS) as well as an enhanced marketing
of properties.
• Appraisals will be conducted by Real Property Management’s State-licensed
appraiser along with several MAI appraisals that will be ordered to conduct a
comparison/peer review to demonstrate any differences; five MAI appraisals
have been ordered.
• The appraisal values will be used by staff to establish the ‘minimum’
bid/reserve.
• The highest bids/offers will be recommended for the Committee’s review and
presented to the BCC for approval via Executive Summary.
• The Board will ultimately approve or reject the bid and approve the sale of
the property.
