Storm track, intensity and other factors could reduce the number. Listen to Radio, TV, and monitor social media for shelter updates. Shelter staffing and set-up teams from County Employees, School District Employees are needed. Sheriff, contract security and mutual-aid law enforcement for security. Large COVID-19 response kits have been assembled for the Shelter Sites. Those kits include Hospital Disinfectant, Procedure Masks, N95 Masks for workers, Bulk Hand Sanitizer, Cloth Mask, Information Posters, Floor Tape, and Contactless Thermometers. 5.B.1 Packet Pg. 26 Attachment: BCC Hurricane Season 5.2022.des.final (22294 : 2022 Hurricane Season Its all about logistics! Emergency Management Expanded portable generator resources for multi-hazard support. Expanded supply resources for oxygen and frail special needs shelter clients. Expanded our Special Needs Client –medical triage with FL Dept of Health’s assistance. Expanded emergency cooling equipment for post event heat stress. Expanded -redundant communication resources for the EOC and response partners. Expanded contractual resources and logistics coordination within the EOC. 5.B.1 Packet Pg. 27 Attachment: BCC Hurricane Season 5.2022.des.final (22294 : 2022 Hurricane Season Evacuation Shelters and Pets Pet Friendly Shelters-Elementary and Middle Schools Only. Our pet friendly sites are “self-service” and each pet owner must come fully prepared with crate, bedding, food, water, waste supplies, vaccination records, to provide total care for their domestic dog or cat. Obey the posted rules for pet care. Small animals with crates and all pet-care items may accompany a special needs client to Palmetto Ridge High School. 5.B.1 Packet Pg. 28 Attachment: BCC Hurricane Season 5.2022.des.final (22294 : 2022 Hurricane Season Shelter Food Service Response! Shelter residents should come totally self- sufficient and prepared for a minimum 3 of days of food, bedding, medicines, baby supplies, etc. Food and meal delivery modified to address COVID concerns if applicable. Collier Schools will support feeding to the extent possible and available resources: Meal plans will consist primarily of shelf-stable meals; i.e., box or bagged lunches, etc. 5.B.1 Packet Pg. 29 Attachment: BCC Hurricane Season 5.2022.des.final (22294 : 2022 Hurricane Season Special Needs Shelter-Palmetto Ridge H.SPre-registration is essential to evaluate care. Medical services and skilled care is limited: Post Irma Improvements: ( A partial list…) Expanded generator coverage. Improvements in two-way radio and satellite phone capability and interoperability with the County. On-going purchases with limited grant funds of additional medical cots, comfort items, etc. Recent acquisition of (3) 12 ton-indoor/outdoor temporary air conditioning systems, air purification systems and towable redundant standby generators, emergency lighting, power distributions sets, and mobile fuel support. 5.B.1 Packet Pg. 30 Attachment: BCC Hurricane Season 5.2022.des.final (22294 : 2022 Hurricane Season County Government and E.O.C. Operations Response and Recovery! Local State of Emergency: Consider an earlier implementation of a Local State of Emergency with or without evacuations so as to aid in mobilization-that may takes longer for COVID-19 concerns if applicable. Ensure County employees have ample time to address family concerns and prepare for emergency assignments and provide for shelter set-up!
