Agenda 05/10/2022 Item #10A (Update Relating to Advocacy Efforts of Quiet Florida)05/10/2022 10.A EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners accept an update related to the advocacy efforts of Quiet Florida to address excessive vehicular noise on public roadways, predominately from modified exhaust systems. OBJECTIVE: To review the progress of advocacy efforts by Quiet Florida, outlining their achievements during the past six months and plans for addressing remaining challenges. CONSIDERATION: Quiet Florida is a citizen -initiated group of residents primarily concerned with vehicle modifications creating excessive noise on public roadways. Local residents Mary Tatigian and Veny Musum are helping to coordinate a multi -agency collaborative effort with the Collier County Sheriff's Department, county transportation professionals, the Collier County Legislative Delegation, and my office, seeking solutions that may enhance local residents' quality of life and enjoyment of their private properties. Quiet Florida last presented to the Board on March 22, 2022, at the conclusion of the Legislative After - Action Report where I requested assistance be provided by our lobbying team in researching potential solutions at the state level. FISCAL IMPACT: None. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
