Agenda 04/26/2022 Item #16E 1 (2022 Fiscal Year Pay & Classifiction modification)04/26/2022 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve a modification to the 2022 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan which consists of the addition of one new classification made from January 1, 2022 through March 31, 2022. OBJECTIVE: To maintain a current and flexible pay plan that best meets the needs of the County. CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year - in January, in April and in July. The modification to the County’s 2022 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan for the second quarter consists of the addition of one new classification. FISCAL IMPACT: This action has a fiscal impact to the County in the form of a salary adjustment that has been accounted for in the division’s FY22 budget. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has ben reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal issues and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK RECOMMENDATION: That the Board approves the addition of one new classification made to the 2022 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan.
