EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize the necessary budget amendments to reallocate funds within the
Transportation Management Services Department Stormwater Capital Fund 325 ($330,000).
OBJECTIVE: To meet critical project needs and compliance objectives within the Collier County
Stormwater Management System.
CONSIDERATIONS: In preparation for future construction awards and key consultant contracts, budget
amendments that optimize the use of existing funds are necessary. These will be used to fund the
construction, materials, any applicable permitting costs, etc. as well as specific consultant contract costs.
The following budget amendments are within Fund 325 Stormwater Capital Projects. Projects to benefit
from this reallocated funding are listed below:
Fund 325, Project 60224 - Lely Golf Estates: The reallocated funds will construct stormwater pipe
outfall replacement between 234 and 236 Palmetto Dunes Circle. These modifications are necessary to
replace a failed pipe and reduce flooding.
Fund 325, Project 60250 - Naples Manor Stormwater Improvements: The reallocated funds will be used
to design stormwater improvements in conjunction with utility replacement and sidewalk along Catts
Street and Carlton Street in Naples Manor.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment in the amount of $130,000 is required to transfer funds within
Stormwater Capital Fund (325) from Stormwater Maintenance Preservation Project 60194 to Lely Golf
Estates Project 60224. A budget amendment in the amount of $200,000 is required to transfer funds
within Stormwater Capital Fund (325) from Immokalee Stormwater Improvements 60143 to Naples
Manor Stormwater Improvements 60250.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This action is consistent with the Stormwater Management
Sub-Element of the Collier County Growth Management Plan.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize the necessary budget amendments to reallocate funds within
Stormwater Capital Fund 325 to meet critical infrastructure and program needs.
