The Scope of Work associated with this Bulk Derelict Vessel Project includes the FWC authorized removal of one (1)identified abandoned beached navigational hazardous vessel located within various areas of the Collier County Coastal System situated along the channel waters and shoreline areas within the coastal waters. The marine contractor will utilize the appropriate barge and crane equipment system necessary to properly remove the vessel from the waters and will be solely responsible for the vessel extraction and offshore removal to an approved disposal site as per FWC Best Management Practices,and State, City,and local laws and ordinances. The assigned Project Manager will coordinate with the contractor and remain on site during the removal process. Photographs of the project progress will be properly taken for the vessel that is removed. The Project Manager will also map the removal location using GIS coordinates. The Project Manager will also coordinate the services with FWC staff to be on site for the removal process upon availability. All documentation will be furnished to the Grantor upon request of the final payment for the grant. JUSTIFICATION FOR RAPID REMOVAL GRANT REQUEST VS. BULK DERELICT VESSEL GRANT REQUEST Describe how the vessel to be removed meets the rapid removal criteria listed in Section VI of the Derelict Vessel Removal Grant guidelines using specific conditions which demonstrate it is in danger of imminent sinking, breaking apart, or is a critical danger to public safety or the environment. This is a Bulk Derelict Vessel Grant Request FWC/DV-APP(Feb 2020) Rule 68-1.003 16A8 IV. PROJECTED OUTCOMES a. How many total derelict vessels are there in the project's jurisdiction?
