Cariloha Naples is an independently owned and operated eco-conscious natural lifestyle and home

bamboo. We provide customers with an exclusive up-scale collection of mattresses, bedding, bath
goods, apparel, active wear, and accessories made from soft, cool, clean, and green bamboo.

Packet Pg. 31 Attachment: March Business of the Month (21485 : Collier County Business of the Month - Cariloha Naples)Like most people, we discovered Cariloha while on a cruise. We fell in love with the incredibly soft
bedding and towels. When the opportunity came up to open a Cariloha store in Naples, we decided
to take the plunge and open our own business because we love the products ourselves and believe
that it is important to offer alternatives that are high quality and organic while also made from a
sustainable resource like bamboo. Jeff grew up visiting his Grandmother in Naples and we had
talked about retiring to the area someday. After some research, we felt that Naples was a market
capable of appreciating the incredible qualities of bamboo and one that would support the new
business.
From the beginning it has been important to us to become part of the community. In addition to
joining the Naples Chamber, membership on the Small Business Council, and participating in local
business networking groups, we have been a sponsor of the Naples Zoo since opening in November
2018. We also believe it is important to actively seek out opportunities to work with and help
promote other local small businesses and have established several successful partnerships with
local women-owned businesses. In addition to the Naples Zoo sponsorship, we have actively
participated in the annual Bark for Life Event benefiting the American Cancer Society and each
October, donate a portion of sales to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness.
As an independent, licensed retail store, Cariloha Naples is able to offer customers a personalized
shopping experience and our own VIP loyalty program. We truly believe in the quality and value of
our products and want people to experience them first-hand. Cariloha products are already organic
and very environmentally friendly, but Cariloha Corporate and we, as an independent store, are
always looking for ways to improve, reduce the use of plastic packaging, and promote sustainability.
We also strongly believe in community as we have described above, and will continue to look for
more ways to participate in and give back to the local community as we grow.
We love the opportunity to get to know our customers and develop a relationship with them and as a
result, we have a very high volume of repeat business. Although as an independent Cariloha
retailer, we are not allowed to participate in online sales, we match all online promotions and our
free shipping policy allows us to continue our personalized customer relationship no matter where in
the U.S. our customers call home. This has been a key to our success and ability to grow during
the last two years of uncertainty. We now ship directly from the store to customers in states all
across the U.S.
Cariloha has about 60 retail locations throughout the U.S. and in cruise ports in Mexico and the
Caribbean. Most of these stores are now corporate-owned with several of their independent stores
closing in 2020 and 2021. Given the challenges of the past two years, we are very proud that our
store in Naples has been #1 or the top 3 in store sales for much of 2021. The growth of our store
has encouraged Cariloha to continue to expand their clothing lines, which have been very
successful here. Cariloha products have been featured in eBella and Naples Illustrated magazines.
