Agenda 10/12/2021 Item #16B1 (Terminating Contract #17-7208)10/12/2021 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to terminate for convenience Contract No. 17-7208 with Ground Zero Landscaping Services, Inc. OBJECTIVE: To obtain the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approval to terminate for convenience Contract No. 17-7208, with Ground Zero Landscaping Services, Inc. for annual maintenance services within the Bayshore Beautification MSTU. These services are no longer required due to the award of Contract 21-7846R to A&M Landscape as primary and Mainscape as secondary vendor approved by the Board of County Commissioners on 9/14/21. CONSIDERATIONS: On November 14, 2017 (Agenda 16.f.2), the Board approved the contract with Ground Zero to provide annual landscaping services. The contract term ends on November 13, 2021. On May 25, 2021, the Procurement Services Division publicly advertised ITB No. 21-7846R, Bayshore Beautification MSTU Landscape and Irrigation Maintenance. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK RECOMMENDATION: To terminate for convenience Contract No. 17-7208 with Ground Zero as the Bayshore Beautification MSTU Landscape Contractor.
