Agenda 05/25/2021 Item #16E 1 (4/10/21 County Surplus Auction Funds)05/25/2021 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to accept the report for the sale of 44 items and disbursement of funds in the amount of $198,150 associated with the County surplus auction held on April 10, 2021. OBJECTIVE: To present the results of the recent Collier County surplus auction to the Board of County Commissioners. CONSIDERATIONS: On February 23, 2021 (Item 16.E.4) the Board authorized staff to conduct an auction to dispose of County-owned property and generate revenue for the County. This auction was held on April 10, 2021 by our contracted vendor, Royal Auction Group, Inc. Staff is recommending that revenue attributable to distinct legal entities such as the County Water-Sewer District and the Airport Authority and MSTU funds be credited to the appropriate fund accounts for those entities; that pursuant to 49 U.S.C. 5334(h)(4), the net revenue from the sale of transit assets funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) be credited in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) grant procedures; and that all other revenue be credited to the General Fund and the Motor Pool Capital Replacement fund as appropriate. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal issue, and requires majority vote for acceptance of the report. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this auction.
