Public Hearing CDBGCV Application - Rachel Hansen gave the group a report on the Golden Gate
Senior Center pre application that will be sent out in March. Due tothe COVID response and the
fact that the senior center already addresses the target population of low to Moderate income
resldents, we are asking that the current Senior Center be demolished. lt is a 40-year-old
building and in poor shape. We are requesting funding for a 9,960 sq. ft. building to be built in
its place. lt will function as a senior meal site, offer educational opportunities, be a vaccinatlon
site, COVID outreach center and a post-disaster recovery center,

the group the building would be ADA compliant as this is a requirement of Collier County
building code.
