EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This item requires that ex parte disclosure be provided by Commission members. Should a hearing
be held on this item, all participants are required to be sworn in. Recommendation to approve a
Resolution renaming a street from The Lords Way to Hacienda Lakes Parkway, located
approximately 2,500 feet north of Rattlesnake Hammock Road and east of Collier
Boulevard, in Section 14, Township 50 South, Range 26 East, Collier County, Florida.

OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approves the attached Resolution
renaming The Lords Way to Hacienda Lakes Parkway.
CONSIDERATIONS: Fred Drovdlic, AICP, on behalf of Hacienda Lakes of Naples, LLC, Lords Way
30, LLC, 3805 TLW, LLC, and Lords Way Apartments, LLC, is requesting renaming a street from The
Lords Way to Hacienda Lakes Parkway, which is located approximately 2,500 feet north of Rattlesnake
Hammock Road and east of Collier Boulevard. A Site Plan depicting the subject roadway is attached.
The Petitioner is seeking a more relevant and applicable road name to what is a road that serves
residential subdivisions.
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2007-62, an advertised Neighborhood Information Meeting was held at the
East Naples Community Center on February 24, 2021. No members of the public attended. All abutting
property owners have been notified of this public hearing.
FISCAL IMPACT: Fiscal impact will be incurred in the form of staff time spent documenting the
change on plats and amending the affected address records. The fiscal impact to fire, police (Sheriff’s
Office), Post Office, EMS, and 911 Emergency Services will be incurred in the form of costs to update
records and maps.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
COLLIER COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION (CCPC) RECOMMENDATION: The Collier
County Planning Commission does not review street name change petitions.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This is a request to change the name of a platted and unplatted street,
The Lords Way, to Hacienda Lakes Parkway. Pursuant to Section 22-358(a)(1) of the Collier County
Code of Laws and Ordinances, a petition to rename a platted and unplatted street requires that the
applicant 1) verify with the Addressing Section of the Collier County Growth Management Department
that the proposed street name is not a duplication, and 2) state the reason for the name change. This item
has been approved as to form and legality, and requires an affirmative vote of four for Board
approval. -DDP
RECOMMENDATION: To approve the attached Resolution renaming The Lords Way to Hacienda
Lakes Parkway.

with Collier County. These applications are seeking approval of:
(1) A street name revision application that seeks to change “The Lords Way” to “Hacienda Lakes
Parkway”.
In compliance with the Land Development Code requirements, a Neighborhood Information Meeting will
be held to provide you an opportunity to hear a presentation about this application and ask questions. The
Neighborhood Information Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. at

Neighborhood Information Meeting Synopsis
Waldrop Engineering, P.A., and the Collier County Staff conducted a Neighborhood
Information Meeting (NIM) on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. The meeting was held
at 5:30 p.m. at the East Naples Community Center, 2500 Thomasson Drive, Naples,
FL 34112.
The sign-in sheet is attached as Exhibit “A” and demonstrates no residents were in
attendance and no attendees via Zoom. A handout was available providing the project
overview. The handout is attached as Exhibit “B”.
The meeting was also simultaneously streamed on the Zoom platform, as advertised,
consistent with Collier County’s hybrid Neighborhood Information Meeting guidelines
and procedures.
