Agenda 04/13/2021 Item #16A 2 (Hacienda Lakes of Naples, Phase 1 Roadway Improvements)04/13/2021 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve a Resolution for final acceptance of the public roadway and drainage improvements, including signage and street lighting, for a portion of that roadway known as Hacienda Lakes of Naples (Phase I), also known as Rattlesnake Hammock Road Extension, approximately 2,700 feet of four-lane divided roadway, PL20130001050 and PL20120001222, and authorize the release of the maintenance security. (This is a companion item to Agenda Items 16.A.3, 16.A.4 and 16.A.5. All items must be either approved or denied together on today’s agenda.) OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners (Board) accept the infrastructure improvements associated with that portion of the roadway known as Hacienda Lakes of Naples (Phase I). CONSIDERATIONS: 1) On August 19, 2016 Tract R1 was conveyed to Collier County via OR Book 5306, Page 114 of the Public Records of Collier County, Florida. 2) On March 7, 2008 a portion of the ROW was conveyed to Collier County via OR Book 4336, Page 3681 of the Public Records of Collier of Collier County, Florida. 3) On January 15, 2015 the Growth Management Department granted preliminary acceptance of the roadway and drainage improvements in Hacienda Lakes of Naples (Phase I). 4) The required improvements have been constructed in accordance with the Land Development Code. The Growth Management Department has inspected the improvements on September 30, 2016 and is recommending final acceptance of the improvements. 5) The roadway and drainage improvements, including signage and street lighting, will be maintained by Collier County through the Transportation Services Division Operations and Maintenance Budget. 6) A resolution for final acceptance has been prepared by staff and approved by the County Attorney's Office. The resolution is a requirement of Section 10.02.05 C of the Land Development Code. A copy of the document is attached. FISCAL IMPACT: The roadway and drainage improvements, including signage and street lighting, will be maintained by Collier County through the Transportation Services Division Operations and Maintenance Budget. The existing security in the total amount of $67,473.09 will be released upon Board approval. The original security in the amount of $450,119.19 has been reduced to the current amount based on the previous work performed and completed and pursuant to the terms of the Construction and Maintenance Agreement dated March 25, 2014. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires a majority vote for Board approval. - DDP RECOMMENDATION: To grant final acceptance of the roadway and drainage improvements, including signage and street lighting, for Hacienda Lakes of Naples (Phase I), PL20130001050 and PL20120001222, and authorize: 1.
