EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a Budget Amendment to recognize carry forward of residual funds
from the 4-H Youth Development Program funding received by the Public Services University
Extension Services Division. (Net Fiscal Impact $24,744.12)
OBJECTIVE: To continue to support the 4-H Youth Development Program in Collier County.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Collier County 4-H Association provided funding to the Public Services
University Extension Services Division to support a partnership to pro vide outreach services and staff in
the 4-H Youth Development Program.
The Collier County 4-H Association provided their last grant to the University Extension Services in FY
2019. The funds granted to the Collier County 4-H Association included a fixed amount for personnel
expenses per grant year. Considering that the University Extension did not fully expend the full amount of
the personnel budget, the division will reprogram the residual amount of revenue to fund 4 -H related
payroll expenses in the current fiscal year 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is required to recognize carry forward in the amount of
$24,744.12 in Public Service Grant fund (709), Project 4H Reinvestment (33608).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item does not raise any legal issues and requires a majority vote for
Board action. - JAB
