EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to provide additional staff direction regarding the County Manager recruitment
process.
OBJECTIVE: To review the list of top three candidate finalists for the position of County Manager and
determine actions required to complete the hiring process for the vacancy.
CONSIDERATIONS: During the March 9, 2021 BCC meeting, five finalists made presentations to the
Board regarding their candidacy for the County Manager position. Commissioners approved a motion to
determine their top three candidates in ranked order with the intent to reach a decision at the March 23,
2021 BCC meeting. Each Commissioner’s candidate selections in order by district are provided in the
table below.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board review and discuss the candidate finalists and determine next
steps in the recruitment and selection process.
