As residents in the Quarry for the past ten years, we strongly support the pending PUD Amendment for the Heritage Bay PUD It is our understanding that Limestone Trail is a privately owned and maintained road. It is also our understanding that a gatehouse, and or gates on private roads are permitted under the PUD. Limestone Trail was never indicated on plans as being a cut through route for the general traveling public nor for general public use. Limestone Trail is for use by both The Quarry and Heritage Bay residents, as was intended by the development plans for the overall Heritage Bay PUD. As a resident of the Quarry, we are concerned with the cost of liability and maintaining a road that should it become public, will also increase traffic on Quarry Drive, which is also a private road. We appreciate the thoughtful consideration by the Planning Commission that resulted in a 6-1 vote recommending approval.
