We are writing to express our strongobjection. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, Limestone Trail is a privately owned and maintainedroad. Our understanding is that there was never a plan to make this road a thoroughfare forpublic use. As residents, we have concerns regarding the effect of increased traffic ofnonresidents for several reasons. Security, noise, traffic flow and safety are our main concernsalong with many other residents of the Quarry and Heritage Bay for the following reasons:1) Security – If Limestone Trail were to become a public thoroughfare, you are bringingpeople outside of the Quarry and Heritage Bay onto the road. Although there is a gate, anyone can walk into our communities. You will be making our communities morevulnerable to crime.2) Noise – Increased volume of vehicles will affect those living close to Limestone Trail. Will large commercial vehicles be allowed on the road? If so, we believe this will causea trickle-down effect with unsatisfied homeowners leaving, high turnover anddecreased property values.3) Traffic flow – Increased traffic will make it more difficult for residents of the Quarryand Heritage Bay to exit with the gatehouse being so close to Immokalee road. With thenew development of The Pointe at Founders Square, making our private roadaccessible to the public will make it very difficult to enter and leave our community, even with the added traffic light.4) Safety – All of the points above fall under this category as well, but we would alsolike to add that the Quarry and Heritage Bay are active biking and walkingcommunities. We use Limestone Trail to access nearby retail establishments, restaurants and medical/dental offices. Often, we do so on the bike path on the side ofthe road intended for our residents. If Limestone Trail were to become a public road, you are endangering the lives of our residents and also increasing the liability for theQuarry. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to express our concerns and we thank you for yourconsiderations.David and Lisa Hooe9204 Quartz Lane #202Naples, Fl 34120
