Aixa,
Our Tamarynd Place Board members and I look forward to our virtual meeting
with Rick. As I mentioned, we got to know Donna Fiala quite well over the years
and she would often give updates on issues for our residents within Tamarynd
Place and also with our Kings Lake HOA.
Currently, it looks like we have Tuesday, February 16th before 10:45AM and after
3:00PM open. We also have Wednesday, February 17th open from 12:00 to
1:00PM. We are waiting for a virtual meeting time to be set by some
Cable/Broadband companies after 1:00 on the 17th and will be able to offer
another opening that afternoon after we hear from them.
We look forward to being able to virtually meet with Rick to discuss several items
that are important to us and to also find out what else is being planned for East
Naples.
I would estimate that we will need no longer than 45 minutes for our virtual
meeting. I await communications from you regarding the time and method that
you would like to use to hold this meeting. Once I hear from you I will advise our
Board of Directors.
Thank you for your assistance!

Good afternoon Rick,
My name is Raymond Wagner and I am contacting you on behalf of

Tamarynd Place condominiums on Kings Lake. Our Kings Lake Home
Owners Association is approximately 1,200 residents strong, with
approximately 750 condo owners. The remaining residents are home
owners.
The purpose of my email is to ask for your help regarding condo
ownership, specifically reverse mortgages and it's impact on all other
condo owners in our association. Tamarynd Place has been trying to
work with HUD in an attempt to clear up matters with respect to an
individual condo. Several of our Board members would love to explain
our situation in detail and ask for any assistance that you might be able
to offer.
In the past, we would reach out to Donna Fiala for her assistance on
issues like this. She was always able to offer invaluable advice & help
and we are hopeful that you will be able to do the same for our
community.
We would like to schedule a meeting (preferably Zoom) to explain our
situation. We are confident that other communities are dealing with the
same mortgage conditions. I ask that you respond via email or by my
cell.
Sincerely,
Raymond Wagner

THE COMMISSIONER'S REPORT
RICK LOCASTRO
Collier County Commissioner
District 1
4th Edition
February 4, 2021
Our first 60 days in the seat have been extremely productive as we have traveled to every
corner of District 1 to meet citizens, assess areas of neglect and opportunity, and take
ACTION! Plenty to also do all over Collier County...it's an honor each and every day to
serve YOU!
"Working To Exceed Your Expectations Every Day"!
The Florida Department of Health and Division of Emergency Management have allocated
28,500 doses to 27 hospitals throughout the state to serve individuals pursuant to the
Executive Order. Lee Memorial Hospital is included.
COVID 19 VACCINE
COMING SOON...
We understand the frustration on securing appointments. The biggest problem is lack of
doses. The Department of Health can’t give more appointments if they don’t have the
doses from the State. The DOH is receiving MUCH MORE vaccine in the coming weeks...
FIRST DOSE ELIGIBILITY
Per the Governor’s Executive Order, the Florida Department of Health is to vaccinate
those who are 65+ and healthcare personnel who have direct patient contact.
The state of Florida requires that those receiving their first vaccine dose provide proof of
residency. Please CLICK HERE to know how to prove Florida residency.
SECOND DOSES FAQs
What do I need to bring to receive my second dose?
Proof of residency
Your vaccination card received at the time of your first dose
Your printed ticket
Identification
A pen to complete paperwork.
How will I get my second dose?
If you received your first dose through DOH-Collier, you will receive an email
approximately one week prior to the 28-day mark to schedule your
appointment. The email will say "Florida Department of Health in Collier
County" but will come from this email address:
noreply@event.eventbrite.com
How will I schedule my appointment for the second dose?
Instructions and links to specific appointments set aside for second doses will
be in the reminder email.
I received my 1st dose in a different county/state. Can I get my second dose
in Collier County?
You may. However, you will have to sign up for an appointment via
Eventbrite at this time.

COUNTY DRIVE AROUND W/ CODE ENFORCEMENT
Many citizens have responded to my weekly newsletter or sent emails directing my
YOUR GOVERNMENT
attention to areas in District 1 violating County code, buildings & houses in disarray, etc.…
I spent an afternoon driving District 1 with our County Director of Code Enforcement
visiting neighborhoods, empty lots where debris is processed, and other hot spots where
violations have been frequent.
Drove to Henderson Creek to address a parking issue and also to Port of the Islands to
inspect demolition of the long abandoned and vandalized hotel FINALLY being torn down!
Then drove by their Marina and several other areas that have my focus and have needed
attention for quite some time.
Also, spent time on Riggs Road at the recycling plant. Contractor has permits to do
specific things… But has often gone beyond what’s been authorized... we fined him for
those issues! We will NOT kick the can or look the other way!
Visited the lot off Davis Blvd and Santa Barbara where construction debris is being
processed. That project is within code… but NOT when they go above & beyond hours
that have been approved or bring out more material than has been authorized. We are
now keeping even closer tabs on that operation!
As you may have read, I am now Commissioner Chair or Co-Chair on 3 of the 5 major
committees in our County. I attended my first Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
meeting. There are major topics to tackle... however we have vacant positions and much
like I’m finding on other committees—we only have ONE (or less) representatives from
District 1. Not good.
I encourage citizens interested in serving on an advisory committee to check out the
County’s website for more information. If you have interest in being on the Affordable
Housing Committee, we certainly lack District 1 representation with ONLY ONE member—
but there are many from the other Districts. These are voluntary positions and you can’t
serve if you don’t apply. My job is to ensure District 1 citizens know of these vacancies
...and if you have interest—APPLY!

NAPLES CLASSICAL ACADEMY
GROUNDBREAKING EVENT
OUT IN THE COMMUNITY
Honored to attend the ceremony in District 5 that will bring another amazing school to our
County! Supporting & improving education is on my shortlist of critical priorities. I am fully
for school choice… and this one will be another excellent option for students in our
community.
Opening Fall 2021, Naples Classical Academy is TUITION FREE and their classical
curriculum rivals the best private schools. Applications are now open for student
selection. The campus (10270 Immokalee Road) will include a 70,000 square foot state-
of-the-art school facility, sports field, a future gymnasium and much more. The school’s
classical education model will offer students a sound curriculum based on the traditions of
the liberal arts & sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character & civic
virtue. There are currently over 650 charter schools operating in our state, educating more
than 300,000 Florida students. For more info: NaplesClassical.org.
VETS COUNT 2021
In a community filled with wealth, beauty, & privilege… we still have plenty who struggle
with the challenges of life. Last week, thanked the many volunteers, President Dale
Mullin, his wife Marie Elaina, & the entire team who searched in Collier County for
homeless veterans & civilian citizens. The focus this year was once again in East Naples.
The team of 40+ volunteers assisted over 100 homeless veterans & civilians who needed
a hand up. Backpacks of food, clothing, hygiene items, tents, tarps, & resource
information were provided.
The last two years I was proud to be part of a team walking the woods and back alleys
discovering fellow veterans & County citizens... and getting them the help they needed.
Unfortunately, this year with my Commissioner schedule, I wasn’t able to spend the day—
but still proud to shake the hands & thank my fellow veterans and all those serving our
community...which included the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Naples Police Department,
Collier County EMS, United Way, Salvation Army, Hunger and Homeless Coalition of
Collier County and several others who donated food, clothing, and medical care
supplies to this important and often overlooked cause. During this upcoming Super Bowl
Sunday, when you hear people talk about Heroes, Courage, Sacrifice... let’s think about
the TRUE heroes — our first responders, healthcare workers, teachers, & especially our
military & veterans!
BLUE MASS
Attended Blue Mass at Saint Agnes Church (District 5)… home of my favorite Catholic
priest—Father Michael Orsi...an incredible man of faith and a strong supporter of first
responders, veterans, & our entire community! He and I have worked together supporting
many causes.
The Blue Mass honored the sacrifice and service of all first responders who serve our
community… active, retired and those who have fallen. As a 24-year military veteran
myself... I identify closely with my brothers & sisters who are law enforcement officers,
firefighters, EMS, etc... We all work as a team and we grieve when we lose a comrade.
EAST NAPLES COMMUNITY PARK
A 3-day “Winter Classic” Pickleball Tournament of 1000+ players and volunteers took
place at our East Naples Community Park. My friend and leader of the event, Jim “Captain
Pickleball” Ludwig, hosted the amazing event. Our Collier County Parks & Rec team was
also there in full force to ensure our facilities were 5-star!
The Lely High School Army JROTC Color Guard kicked off the tournament with amazing
military precision and an incredible National Anthem singer! Players from near and far
enjoyed a perfectly run tournament and a beautiful setting. Stay tuned for tournaments in
March & April as well!
Thank you for your trust & confidence…
We're working to exceed your expectations every day!
