Hello...We have resided in The Quarry community since 2011 and we are writing to you today to let you know that we strongly urge you to support the pending PUD Amendment for the Heritage Bay PUD, PL20200000191. We appreciate the thoughtful consideration by the Planning Commission that resulted in a 6-1 vote recommending approval. Limestone Trail is a privately owned and maintained road. Under the PUD, a gatehouse on private roads is permissible as a right without any exceptions. This road was never intended to be a "shortcut or pass through" for the general public. This road was created as an access for the Quarry and Heritage Bay residents to access the Commercial Activity Center. It helps alleviate traffic on Immokalee since we don't have to get on Immokalee for a few hundred yards and then off again. It's our understanding that emergency vehicles will still have access as needed as well as evacuation plans. We are cyclists and we use Limestone Trail daily as part of our cycling routine. It is much loved by all of us who cycle as we don't have to access Immokalee with all that traffic and potential danger. We have on occasion stopped to enjoy a cup of coffee or a pizza or a smoothie and we never have to access Immokalee. If the general public had access to Limestone Trail, the danger for cyclists is heightened due to increased traffic. We hope you will consider all this and support the PUD. Thanking you in advance for your attention to this important matter, we remain Beth and Mark Summer 9184 Ores Circle
