7. In most cases(some contracts are an exception),the original document and this routing slip N/A
should be provided to the County Attorney Office at the time the item is input into SIRE.
Some documents are time sensitive and require forwarding to Tallahassee within a certain
time frame or the BCC's actions are nullified. Be aware of your deadlines!
8. The document was approved by the BCC on September 08,2020 and all changes MR
made during the meeting have been incorporated in the attached document. The
County Attorney's Office has reviewed the changes,if applicable.
9. Initials of attorney verifying that the attached document is the version approved by the
BCC,all changes directed by the BCC have been made,and the document is ready for
Chairman's signature.

SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES
THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES is entered
into on the below date by Collier County, Florida, a political subdivision of the State of Florida,
through its Board of County Commissioners (hereinafter referred to as the "County") and Bryant
Miller Olive P.A. (hereinafter referred to as"Counsel").
WITNESSETH
WHEREAS, on December 14, 2010, the County and Counsel entered into a Retention
Agreement (the "Agreement") wherein the County agreed to retain Counsel to provide
professional specialized legal services, which agreement was extended by an Amendment to the
Agreement dated December 8, 2015; and
WHEREAS, as extended, the term of the Agreement will expire on December 13, 2020;
and
WHEREAS, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to extend the term of service at the
existing rates for providing these specialized legal services for an additional three (3) years
commencing on December 14,2020;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained
herein,the parties hereto agree to amend the Agreement as follows:
Article 4 entitled Term and Time of Performance is amended as stated below:
ARTICLE 4
TERM AND TIME OF PERFORMANCE
4.1 The term of this Agreement shall be for a period of three years to begin
December 14, 213 2020, and to end on December 13, 2018 2023, unless terminated
earlier in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Absent notice of intent to
terminate, the Agreement may be further administratively renewed thereafter for two
(2) additional terms of one (1) year each. (In the event the term of this Agreement
extends beyond a single fiscal year of County, the continuation of this Agreement
beyond the end of any fiscal year shall be subject to the availability of funds from
County in accordance with Chapter 129, Florida Statutes.)
4.2 Time shall be deemed to be of the essence in performing the duties,
obligations and responsibilities by this Agreement.
4.3 Any amendments, alterations, variations, modifications or waivers of
provisions of this Agreement shall only be valid when they have been reduced to
writing, duly signed by both parties hereto, and attached to the original of this
Agreement.

Except as modified by this Second Amendment, all other terms and conditions of the
Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. If there is a conflict between the terms of this
Second Amendment and the Agreement,the terms of this amendment shall prevail.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this Second Amendment to the
Agreement on this 8th day of September 2020,with the intention to attach this amendment to the
original Agreement.
