RESOLUTION NO. 2020- 1 41
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA AMENDING EXHIBIT "A" TO
RESOLUTION NO. 2013-239, THE LIST OF SPEED LIMITS ON COUNTY-
MAINTAINED ROADS,TO RE-ESTABLISH A FORTY-FIVE(45)MILE PER
HOUR SPEED LIMIT ON: GOLDEN GATE BLVD. (CR 876), FROM
APPROXIMATELY 18TH STREET NORTHWEST/SOUTHWEST TO 1,000
FEET EAST OF EVERGLADES BOULEVARD, DUE TO THE
COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION ON THOSE ROADWAYS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute, Chapter 316, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-25,
as amended, and Resolution number 2013-239, the Board of County Commissioners ("Board") has
the authority to establish and alter speed limits by a resolution filed with the Clerk to the Board that
creates a single comprehensive codification of all speed limits on county-maintained roads; and
WHEREAS, on November 13th,2018,the Board approved Resolution No. 2018-201 reducing
the speed limits from forty-five (45) miles per hour to thirty-five (35) miles per hour on the above- "
referenced roadways due construction of "Design-Build Golden Gate Boulevard 4-Lane" (Project
60145); and
WHEREAS,with this construction project now completed,the County's Traffic Engineering
staff, with the concurrence of the Sheriff's Office, recommends re-establishing the forty-five (45)
mile per hour speed limits upon project close-out.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA as follows:
1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby restates and reauthorizes all prior-
approved speed limits on Collier County-maintained roads, which have been compiled and attached
as Exhibit"A."
2. Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 2013-239, as amended and attached hereto, is
specifically amended to reflect the re-establishment of a 45-mile per hour speed limit on: Golden
Gate Blvd. (CR 876) from approximately 18th Street Northwest/Southwest to 1,000 feet east of
Everglades Boulevard.
3. This Resolution shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners
consistent with the requirements to maintain a single, comprehensive codification of all speed limits

on County-maintained roads. Further changes to speed limits on County-maintained roads shall be
made by resolution with an amendment to Exhibit"A."
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second, and majority vote favoring same
