document or the final negotiated contract date whichever is applicable.

signature and initials are required.
7. In most cases(some contracts are an exception),the original document and this routing slip N/A
should be provided to the County Attorney Office at the time the item is input into SIRE.
Some documents are time sensitive and require forwarding to Tallahassee within a certain
time frame or the BCC's actions are nullified. Be aware of your deadlines!
8. The document was approved by the BCC on July 14th,2020 and all changes made AG
during the meeting have been incorporated in the attached document. The County
Attorney's Office has reviewed the changes,if applicable. =

RESOLUTION NO.2020- 1 3 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE AREA LOCATED
NORTH OF PINE RIDGE ROAD AND WEST OF AIRPORT ROAD,
DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT A,AS A CULTURAL ARTS DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, over twelve years ago, a handful of artists located in the industrial park north of
Pine Ridge Road and west of Airport Road began working together to market the area as an art
destination; and
WHEREAS, these artists formed a 501(c)(3) non-profit alliance called the Naples Art District,
whose goal is to instill in the community an awareness of,and appreciation for,original works of art;and
WHEREAS,at 70 members,NAD is now the largest concentration of professional working artist
studios and galleries in southwest Florida; and
WHEREAS,the NAD has requested that the County designate them as a cultural arts district.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS RESOVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY,FLORIDA:
1. The Board hereby designates the area described in Exhibit A as a cultural arts district.
2. The County Manager is hereby directed to work with NAD to install appropriate signage on
the periphery of the art district that will assist in identifying the area and help drive visitation to these
businesses,as well as grant NAD any other benefits that arise with this designation.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second, and majority vote favoring same this
14th day of July,2020.
